Venice, Italy

My one souvenir from Venice, now if only I could find a Masquerade to wear it to...

Once again, thanks to my beautiful flight benefits from Delta Airlines, I was able to get outta town!

Originally I was planning an entire week on the other side of the Atlantic but my dear Chevy required some maintenance before it would pass safety and emissions. So what was to be a trip to two or three European cities became a one city trip. (the economy package) No complaints though. Venice was everything I needed.

After a twelve hour layover in Manhattan (Don't worry, I didn't stay at the airport, I went into the city and played. I'm just sad I didn't have time to see a matinée.)I roughed it in business class all the way into Venice, Italy. With a stamp of the passport I was in! After shuffling around the airport for a bit to get my bearings I found the public transit counter and bought a bus ticket into the city. By bus I mean a 30' boat.

The bus (boat) took us around the east side of the city before cutting into the Grand Canal where I was dropped off at the Rialto Bridge. I hoofed it over to the street I believed to be the address of my hostel. I found it, after a good hour of wandering around. After a well needed nap and a shower I took to the streets. Good freakin crap!! It was beautiful! So here is the photo tour of Venice, enjoy!
